About these figures

Official IEC figures: how we add them up

All 7 voting districts in · the IEC marks the results complete · turnout calculated from the voting-district sums · no turnout is shown for this ward: the IEC's voting-district totals that make it up don't all refer to the same ballot (some describe the national ballot, others the regional one)

These figures are the sum of the IEC's results for the 7 voting districts in this ward (the IEC does not publish national/provincial results per ward). Turnout is calculated from those sums.

The change beside the headline is the difference between the leading party's share here and its share in the 2019 election for the same ward (the ward that covered the same area then), both from the IEC's counts, with no votes re-allocated between boundaries.

Percentages are calculated from the IEC's vote counts. Official results: results.elections.org.za.

Map boundaries: Municipal Demarcation Board (MDB) and the IEC.
