[GAUTENG POLICE ARREST SUSPECT FOR POSSESSION OF EXPLOSIVES IN GERMISTON] Gauteng police have arrested one suspect for possession of explosives following an intelligence-driven operation conducted in Hazelpark, Germiston, on Saturday, 29 August 2026. Police were called to an identified address, where they met with members of Crime Intelligence who had been following up on information regarding explosives allegedly being kept at the premises. A search of the property was conducted, and police discovered explosive material concealed in a back room. A total of 4 483 blasting cartridges and 21 detonating cords, with an estimated value of approximately R500 000, were seized. One suspect was arrested and is expected to appear before the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon. Police investigations are continuing. #TrioCrimes #fightingcrime
