[JOHANNESBURG FLYING SQUAD MEMBERS RECOVER FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION, ARREST SUSPECT IN BASSONIA] The #SAPS has arrested a 32-year-old man following a crime intelligence-driven operation conducted by members of the Johannesburg Flying Squad in Bassonia on Tuesday, 25/08. It is reported that members of the Johannesburg Flying Squad followed up on information regarding illegal firearms and ammunition and proceeded to a residential premises in Bassonia. Upon arrival, the members recovered two rifles, a .308 rifle and a .22 rifle, as well as 5,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibres.
